Carl Melkersson Beck

106  Carl Melkersson Beck (d. 1616) could have carved the coat of arms of this German-Livonian family in  1609, when he was transporting French cavalry to the army in the East. His son Carl Beck the younger was introduced at the House of Nobility in Sweden 1633 under the name Beck i Finland. Beck was the founder of the Nuutajärvi estate, later renowned for its glassware.
