Märta Henriksdotter Fleming and Carl Henrik Wrede

65  Märta Henriksdotter Fleming (d. 1666) and Carl Henrik Wrede placed their twin coat of arms in 1642 during one of their travels from Stockholm to their estates in Anjala in Elimä county. Wrede was an assistant judge at the Svea high court.

Wrede´s father Henrik Wrede gave his horse to the king at the Battle of Kirkholm in 1605, resulting in his own death. The King Karl IX rewarded the Wrtede family with vast lands in Elimä. Carl Henrik, born after his father´s death, took part in the later battles of the 30-years War, namely at Luetzen in 1632. Later he became an assistant lawyer at the high court of Svea, and before his death appointed Governor of Åbo (Turku).

Märta Fleming´s parents Henrik Klasson Fleming and Ebba Erlandsdotter Bååt also have their allied coat of arms on the island (nr 17). Märta had 10 children.

The Wrede family coat of arms with the wreath in its middle has been painted in various interpretations, as seen in the photos of the rock carving.
