In Finland 50 museums already have a friend association. Hangon museon ystävät ry was founded by people who are interested in museums and want to support the museum. The association’s predecessor was called Hembygdsforskningens vänner i Hangö. It was founded in 1907 and founded the museum in 1909. Its name was changed in 2010 and it became a bilingual association.

As a memember of Hangon museon ystävät ry you get invited into the lovely openings of the museum exhibits. We also arrange our own events and make trips to other museums and interesting historical places. As a member you get free entry to the museum of Hanko and 10 % discount on all its products. You also get the latest news about the museum.
